First of all we'd like to thank everybody for taking their time and submitting a proposal. We received over one hundred applications!

These are the talks we decided upon:

  • Bozhidar Batsov: The Elements of Style in Programming
  • Emanuel Blagonić: Users First!
  • Jessica Rose: Communicating Across a Technical Skills Gap
  • Laurent Doguin: Let your devices talk to each other
  • Lucijan Blagonić: Modular and Bulletproof User Interfaces
  • Luka Mužinić: Lua as a second language
  • Premshree Pillai: Continuous deployment at Etsy
  • Senko Rašić: Building highly available and fault tolerant sites on a budget
  • Zdeslav Vojkovic: HTTP/2 - what does it bring and does it matter?

But wait, that’s only nine talks?! Yes, there is another one, but we’re still waiting for the speaker’s confirmation. It will be announced as soon as the speaker confirms he can make it.

We’re also proud to announce that this year's keynote speaker will be Bob Ippolito, a self-described CTO with developer experience. Bob was the CTO and cofounder of Mochi Media, and creator of Mochi Web, a popular web library for Erlang. His areas of expertise include networking, "internet scale" web applications and services, in-game advertising, flash game development, data mining, GUI development, high-end web development, software porting, and embedded systems (particularly kiosks and RFID applications).

Congratulations to our speakers and we're looking forward to seeing you all in October!

If your talk was not selected in the first round, you still have a chance to be picked later; there is no need to resubmit your proposals. But if you haven't done so already, submit your talk now. The second round of talks will be chosen from those submitted by July 10th (inclusive).
